After getting involved with a mysterious Russian man - who it turns to out, is part of the Russian Mafia and he didn't take too kindly to sharing her with her husband. After getting swept up in alcoholism after their death she finds a new purpose and determination to seek revenge on him. She hires Guy to train her and he soon becomes her lover.
This was such a great book, and I loved the twists and turns that happened. This is the first book by the Ms Arama that I have read and it will certainly not be my last.

Maybe I was more aware because the last book I tried to read contained zero character development, but the character development in this book is excellent.
My only real quibble with this book is that the second ending feels tacked on. "We need to find someone else. We found someone else. The end." Going after this second character could have actually been the plot of a second book as opposed to being a quick conclusion to this book.
What happens when you have everything, then one mistake later – you have nothing? What do you do when you realize that you mistake, a moment of weakness, may be the one responsible for the loss of everything you have? This is the question faced by Gabriela in Dana Arman’s “Planned Coincidence.”
Fast paced and developed, this story jumps off the page at you, pulling you and entrapping you in Gabriela’s millionaire world – a world that threatens everything she has ever known.
This is a mystery wrapped in a thriller with no small amount of romance – and it will keep you reading.
The book was a good read, somewhat of a page turner. There are about a dozen grammatical and typographical errors; however, you can attempt to understand what the author tried to say and look beyond the errors. There were definitely some twists in the book and it did not end fully as I expected it to. Some parts; however, were predictable.
It tells the tale of a woman scorned, but not by her husband, and her plan for revenge. Along the way, she obtains help from Guy. I would recommend it.
Of note, I received this book at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion.
The book starts out a little slow and a little confusing, at least it did for me. I had a really hard time relating to the characters of the book through a good portion of the beginning (about 20% of the book). However, once it picked up, all that was forgotten and I could not put the book down.
This is the quintessential thriller suspense novel centered around one woman's quest for revenge.

This book really makes you think about how just one decision or mistake can have such life altering consequences. This book was well written and the characters were very well developed. There are a lot of twist and turns that make it an interesting and fast paced read. Just when you think you have it all figured out, something new is thrown at you! There is intrigue, mystery, romance and action all rolled together. I recommend this one!

Read a week before heading off to photograph 4 Corners and Cortez, home of the Mesa Verde, and wanting to see the people we saw last Fall in the mesas and canyonlands. Childs gives an interesting history of the area, their long history from the 400's (approx) when they took over 1000 years before to come from Alaska to this southwest on up to the 1330's when the lack of water and other forces forced them further South. One interesting thing for me is that there are hundreds, actually thousands of kivas / households as the people were nomadic and would build new structures on top of old ones in addition to how many thousands there were in the immediate area. Fascinating as I had thought all my life there was one Mesa Verde when there were thousands lesser and maybe larger where it was just part of the process that there were thousands of pottery, etc. because there were so many of them. Documents basketry, pottery, etc. of items that let us track how they moved from North to the South, still in the Southwest. Very interesting work.

For a woman who is a widow who lost her husband and son this woman has willpower.
I do not blame her for wanting revenge i would be right there with her.
This book is full of action adventure and the length makes it like a movie its so worth it.
Me i cant stand when i am interested into a book and it just ends short i love long books.
It does leave some openings at the end for a second book or it just leaves your mind wondering what actually happens after she gets her revenge.
